Quick Turkey Meat Sauce for Pasta

1 onion

1 pound ground turkey

1 TBSP olive oil

28 oz can crushed tomatoes

2 cloves garlic

2 TBSP Spice by Rachel Sweet ONION SOUP MIX

If having pasta with this meal, fill up a large pot with water and start heating before making the sauce.

Peel and dice the onion, and mince the garlic cloves. Set aside. Add the olive oil to a large frying pan or a pot and turn heat to medium. Add the ground turkey and cook, while breaking up the meat using a spatula for 5 minutes. Add the onion and garlic to the cooking ground turkey and cook 5 more minutes.

Add the 2 tablespoons ONION SOUP MIX and the contents of the can of crushed tomatoes. Stir well and cook for 3 more minutes. The sauce can sit at low heat until the rest of your meal is done cooking. Pour the sauce over pasta, or use in a shepherd's pie.
