Baked Acorn Squash

2 acorn squash

1 TBSP Spice by Rachel Sweet CHAI SPICES

2 TBSP butter



Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.


Cut the acorn squash in half the long way (so that your knife goes through the stem). Use a spoon to scrape out all the seeds and discard. Sprinkle CHAI SPICES into each acorn squash half.


Place on of the halves of each squash into a baking dish. You can use a cookie sheet instead, but the higher sides of the dish keep the squash from rolling. Add a tablespoon of butter to each of the squash halves and then place the other half on top to enclose the spiced butter.


Cook in the preheated oven for one hour. When you remove the squash, either scoop the flesh out of the skin or slice lengthwise and serve with the skin on (you will need to remove the skin before eating!).
